FAQs

When should I hire you?

Ideally, you should be contacting me at least 2-3 months before giving birth or adopting to ensure my availability as well as to allow time to answer any questions prior to baby making their arrival. If you are before or past the 2-3 month window, please do not hesitate to reach out to see my availability.

How will hiring you affect my partner’s role during the fourth trimester?

My job as a doula is not to come in and replace your pre-existing support system but rather to provide guidance using evidence-based information on how to best support the mother and newborn during this time. What this looks like can vary from family to family but the end result is the same - I will leave with the partner feeling confident in their role.

What are your fees?

My fees are $25/hour for families bringing home one newborn (singleton babies) and $35/hour for families bringing home multiple newborns (twins, triplets, etc).

Do you only provide support to mother's who have given birth?

I provide services to all parents in the first few weeks after bringing home their newborn. Whether the parents gave birth to that newborn, adopted or used a surrogate the postpartum period is still an adjustment for all.

What are your hours?

My hours are Monday - Thursday 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM.

How far will you travel to provide services?

I provide services in and around the Capital Region. Primarily servicing the towns of Voorheesville, Guilderland, Altamont, Duanesburg, Berne, Esperance, Rotterdam and other small towns in between. If you unsure if I cover your area please contact me either by email, phone or through the contact form on the Contact Us page.
